Overview

Voucher codes let you apply discounts to registration fees when provided by your organisation. These codes can offer either a fixed dollar amount or percentage discount off your registration fees.

You can apply voucher codes during the registration process on the Payment & Summary page when you have an outstanding balance to pay.

Applying a single voucher code

Use this process when you have one voucher code to apply to your registration fees.

1. Navigate to the Payment & Summary page
   1. Complete all registration steps until you reach Payment & Summary
   2. Locate the Order summary section on the right side of the page
2. Enter and apply your voucher code
   1. Type your voucher code in the Voucher field
   2. Click Apply
   3. The system will validate your code and apply the discount
   4. Your amount owing will update to reflect the discount

What happens next: If your voucher covers the full amount owing, your fee will show as $0.00. You won't need to enter payment details, but you must still complete the registration to receive your confirmation.

⚠️ Important: If your voucher discount exceeds the fee amount, the excess value is forfeited and cannot be applied to other fees or saved for future use. 

Understanding voucher types

Your voucher will apply as either:

• Fixed amount discount - A set dollar value (e.g. $20 off)
• Percentage discount - A percentage off the cart subtotal (e.g. 5% off)

Both types work the same way when applying them to your registration.

Applying multiple voucher codes

If you're paying fees to multiple organisations (state body, association, and club), you can apply one voucher code from each organisation.

1. Apply the first voucher code following the steps above
2. Enter the second voucher code in the same field
3. Click Apply
4. Repeat for any additional voucher codes (one per organisation)

Key restrictions:

• Maximum of one voucher per organisation charging fees
• Each voucher only applies to fees from its issuing organisation
• Vouchers cannot be combined for the same organisation's fees

Removing a voucher code

Changed your mind or entered the wrong code? You can remove any applied voucher.

1. Find the applied voucher in the Order summary section
2. Click the "x" icon next to the voucher code
3. The discount will be removed and your total will update
4. You can now apply a different voucher if needed

Common voucher issues

Why isn't my voucher code working? Your voucher code may be invalid if:

• It's been entered incorrectly (check for typos)
• It's expired or no longer active
• It's from an organisation that isn't charging you a fee in this registration
• It's already been fully redeemed

Double-check the code with the organisation that provided it.

Can I save unused voucher value for later? No. If your voucher discount exceeds the fee amount, the remaining value is void. The voucher is marked as fully redeemed even if the full discount wasn't applied.

Will my voucher show on my receipt? Yes. Your payment tax invoice from PlayHQ will show the voucher redemption and the discounted amount you paid.

Can I use the same voucher code for multiple people's registrations? This depends on how the organisation set up the voucher. Some vouchers allow multiple uses, while others are single-use. Check with the organisation that provided your code.
